I've stayed at John's Brook Lodge several times and it is always a good experience. Johns Brook Lodge is located about 4 miles from the trailhead on one of the main trails to Mt Marcy in Keene Valley. It is the easy way to spend one or two nights in the High Peaks, dinner and breakfast are served at the lodge and it is always good food, and you can get packed lunches to take with you for your days hiking.
		Black Brook after thunder storm. I was staying at Johns Brook lodge and waited until the storm finished before I ventured out and followed Black Brook. The sun came out and produced some fantastic light that is rare to find in the woods.
		Elk Lake from the summit of Nippletop. We hiked Nippletop from the Ausable Club road in St Hubert, a number of great hikes start from this area.
		Another great hike that starts from St Hubert is Sawteeth, this photo shows the view from Overlook #1 of Lower Ausable Lake from the Scenic Trail.
		This is the panorama that you get from the summit of Sawteeth, a spectacular close up view of the Great Range, from right are Gothics, Saddleback, Basin, Marcy and Haystack.
		Rainbow Falls is located at the start of the trail to Gothics and Sawteeth near Lower Ausable Lake.
