Cheshire Harbor is area located along the Hoosic River in Cheshire MA, next to a former Rail Line, now a bike trail. The dam pictured below is visible from the rail trail, the remains of a canal, reservoir and old mill buildings are downstream from the dam. These were part of the Cheshire Harbor Warp Mill, were they spun cotton. I assume the cotton arrived via rail from the South. There was also a grist mill used for grinding grain into flour.
