Mt Discovery and a section of the Ross Ice Shelf from Black Island. This shot also represents my furthest South at 78 deg 7 min 54 sec! It didn't occur to me at the time that this would be my furthest south or I would have tramped further, just because I could. Walking on this landscape was like walking on the Moon, or Mars.
